- Parent Group Meeting March 24, 2010



The Cerebral Palsy Association of Chester County’s Parent Support Group, is pleased to present Joseph Romano, Esquire on March 24th speaking on Children with Cerebral Palsy & Complex Medical Needs: Special Education and Managed Care- Funding Issues: Practical Advice.
 
Topics to be discussed include: How do parents and advocates obtain the information necessary to determine what their children’s health insurance benefits are?, Four major ways insurance companies deny health insurance benefits for cerebral palsy and seriously ill and injured children, EPSDT- an underused Medicaid benefit, Health insurance appeals: medical equipment, assistive technology benefits, Fighting for nursing benefits: Practical advice, Special Education: myths & education, and Special Needs Trusts, Wills & Financial planning
 
Could you also put on there that the next Parent Support Group for Parents of Children with Cerebral Palsy and other Physical Disabilities is scheduled for April 28th from 7-9pm at CPA. Parents can join us for a casual informational meeting for parents to get to know each other and share resources, experiences, and support.
