- Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the ADA!

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Liberty Resources invites you to an outdoor festival featuring food, exhibits, and the music of Flame, a rock band comprised entirely of musicians with disabilities. The ADA celebration will be held in Philadelphia’s Independence Park on July 26, 2010 to honor the 20th Anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Liberty Resources, a non-profit and Philadelphia’s Center for Independent Living, will partner with other local businesses and non-profits to commemorate this historic achievement. Cerebral Palsy Association of Chester County, Inc. will have a table at the event. Come join us for a fun day!

Various non-profit organizations which work for and with people with disabilities will line the park. The rock band, Flame, consisting of 11 musicians with developmental and physical disabilities, will perform. Recently featured on “Good Morning America,” Flame has earned many accolades and much recognition for their work.  Check them out at www.flametheband.com

We anticipate media coverage and have invited dignitaries including Senator Harkin and Senator Specter, champions of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Other invited dignitaries include Senator Casey, Mayor Nutter and Governor Rendell.
