What is the Parent's Support Group?

When a family has a child with special needs, there are often many questions to be answered. Many parents also are interested in meeting families who have children involved in our program who share similar lives. The support group meets monthly at our Exton office and provides parents a chance to share experiences and get answers to all of the questions you may have about raising a child with special needs.

What is Mealtimes?

Mealtimes is a monthly feeding program for children with special needs. The goal of the program is to support families of children with physical disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy in having successful mealtime experiences by providing strategies to improve their child’s feeding skills. Some feeding skills that are worked on include: increasing volume and texture of foods; oral motor development; increasing cup drinking and other self-feeding skills; and improving mealtime behaviors. A Speech Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist provide the most recent techniques and services on a monthly basis to children and families who enrolled in the group.
